Visitors using satnav’s to reach the venue should note that the postcode for the arena is BL6 6JW.
By Car – From The South
M6 to Junction 21a, take eastbound M62 leaving at Junction 12. Follow signs for M61 (Bolton/Preston) and leave the M61 motorway at Junction 6. The ground is visible from this junction and is clearly signposted.
From The North
M6 to Junction 29 and take the M65 towards Blackburn. Leave the M65 at junction two and join the M61 towards Manchester. Leave the M61 at junction six. The ground is visible from this junction and is clearly signposted.
Parking - There is parking at the stadium itself, as well as a number of show day car parks in the local area. There is also the option of pub car parks a bit further away from the stadium but with easy access away from the area after the show.
The car park at the University of Bolton Stadium itself, and is specifically for the use of visitors. You can find this car park at the South end of the stadium, accessed via the A6027, De Havilland Way. Parking on all car parks at the University of Bolton Stadium will be cashless.
In an effort to modernise the Stadiums parking system and ease congestion on a show day, new ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology, managed by Parking Eye, has been installed at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Drop Off/Pick Up - Please arrange to drop off and/or pick up away from the Arena as, due to the location and size of events, road closures and diversions may be in place at the end of an event making it difficult to return to your chosen meeting point.
By Train - The nearest railway station to the University of Bolton Stadium is Horwich, which is one of the shortest distances from station to stadium in the football league. Horwich is served by trains from Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria, which both take around 30 minutes.
Upon exiting the station, you will see the stadium directly in front of you. Just follow Arena Approach for around 400 metres until you reach Burnden Way, where you can access the stadium.
By Bus - Many buses serve Victoria bus stations and many more stop within Bolton. From Bolton centre you can take a bus to the stadium

University of Bolton Stadium has and always will continue to review security measures in conjunction with Bolton security and emergency services. Further enhanced security checks have been put in place to provide reassurance and confidence and we advise you to arrive in plenty of time to pass through these additional security checks.
We also ask to please support and cooperate fully so the team can efficiently carry out these measures to ensure safety and ensure you are in the building in time for your show.
We ask that you keep personal belongings to a minimum and only bring your essentials. Please do not bring any backpacks or large bags, as these will not be allowed into the arena.
You are permitted to bring small bags or handbags no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm.
There will be no temporary storage facilities for such items within the venue and it will be left to the patron to find a safe temporary facility to hold the item. The venue will not be responsible for late admission or non-admission as a result of this policy.

Please note that Upper Tier seats are very steep and are not advised for the elderly, infirm or those with an aversion to heights. If any of these apply, please do not purchase seats in the Upper Tier as relocation on the night is not possible.
