Located just a few kilometres from both Copenhagen city centre and the international airport, Royal Arena is a unique cultural meeting place on a large scale and, with its thoughtful design, the arena will attract the best in sports, culture and entertainment.
Good acoustics, great sightlines and genuine seat comfort will optimise the visitor experience at an arena whose open and elegant expression carries the award-winning Danish architects 3XN’s recognisable touch.
Royal Arena is operated by a company that is part of Live Nation Entertainment Inc., which is one of the world’s largest organisers of live entertainment. In addition to concerts featuring the biggest Danish and international artists, musicals, and TV and family shows, the arena will host international sporting events such as the European Short Course Swimming Championships in 2017 and ice hockey’s IIHF World Championship in 2018.
Food and Drink
High quality at normal prices. That’s the motto of Royal Arena’s concessions. You can therefore look forward to visiting our three different concessions: Deli, Diner and Bar.
The Deli offers two different types of pizza on a homemade base and delicious salad from LêLê.
The Diner offers the Royal Burger with special ketchup, beef from Grambogård and a brioche bun, gourmet hot dogs with homemade sausage, custom relish and a brioche bun, the classis hot dog with a brioche bun and delicious salad from LêLê.
The Bar offers a selection of beer, cider, spirits, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee and confectionary.
NB: You are not permitted to bring your own food or drink into Royal Arena.
Directions
Royal Arena is centrally located in the expansive urban district of Ørestad Syd, Copenhagen, which unites the beautiful green areas of Amager Fælled with modern cultural, residential and commercial architecture. When Royal Arena opens in the first quarter of 2017 it will be easy to get to events. There are two Metro stations within walking distance (Ørestad and Vestamager), as well as the Ørestad Station regional train station. In addition, there is access via the nearby E20 motorway. Finally, there are good bicycle parking facilities near to the arena.
By Car: Royal Arena is located close to exit 19 of the E20 motorway. From here you can drive to the drop-off point at Ørestads Boulevard near Ørestad Metro station.
It is easy to get to events at Royal Arena by public transport, mainly because there are two Metro stations (Ørestad and Vestamager) and the Ørestad Station regional train station within a few minutes’ walking distance.
By Metro: Royal Arena is close to Ørestad Metro Station and Vestamager Metro Station. Take the Metro in the direction of Vestamager – it only takes a few minutes from Nørreport Station.
By Regional Trains: It takes just 6 minutes from Copenhagen’s Hovedbanegård Station to reach Ørestad Station by train. The regional train to and from Sweden/Kastrup Airport stops at Ørestad Station.
By Bus: Bus 500S runs directly to Ørestad Station from, for example, Glostrup Station. There are several departures per hour.
The venue recommend visiting the arena by public transport or bicycle (excellent bicycle parking facilities are available) as far as possible.
