Venue Information
As the home of Ireland's largest sporting and cultural organisation, the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) - Croke Park has played host to iconic moments in Irish sport & history and to major cultural and international events.
Directions
The central location in Dublin 3, is within easy reach of the city centre, Dublin Airport and Dublin port. Excellent public transport links for local and national bus and rail services, along with 600 on-site parking spaces ensure there is an option to suit you. The proximity to the M50 motorway, provides access to Ireland’s motorway network – connecting all major urban centres nationwide.
The venue advise anyone travelling to use public transport wherever possible and if driving, to avail of the various park-and-ride facilities located around the outskirts of the city as parking is limited in the immediate area around the stadium.
By Car
From the Dublin city centre, the journey takes 10 minutes by car. From O'Connell Street Upper, head north and turn left onto Parnell Street. Take the first right onto Parnell Square W and continue onto Granby Row. Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Dorset Street Upper and contnue to follow the N1 for 1.2km. Turn right onto Clonliffe Road (R131).
Take the right onto St Joseph's Ave and the next right towards the venue. The venue will be on the left.
On Foot
The journey from the Dublin city centre takes under 20 minutes on foot. Walk north on O'Connell Street Upper and turn right onto Parnell Street. Turn left onto Gardiner Street Middle (R802) and right onto Mountjoy Square S. Turn left onto Mountjoy Square E and right onto Charles Street Great. Turn left onto N Circular Road (R101) and right onto St Margaret's Ave. St Margaret;s Ave turns slightly right and becomes St Joseph's Terrace.
By Bike
Croke Park is less than a 2km cycle from the City Centre. The nearest Dublin Bike stations are located on North Circular Road and Mountjoy Square. There are also bicycle locking facilities around the stadium, including two-tier bike storage in the Davin Stand car park.
By Bus
Dublin Bus offers a high-frequency, accessible and easy to use service from all over Dublin. A number of services bring you quite close to Croke Park and many others will get you to the city centre from where the stadium is a 15 minute walk.
The stadium is serviced by the following bus routes: 1, 7, 11, 13, 14, 16, 27a, 27b, 29a, 31/a, 31b, 32, 33, 40, 40b, 40d, 41, 41b, 41c, 42, 43, 44, 53, 123, 13.
By Train
Both the DART and LUAS networks provide an excellent service from many different parts of Dublin. In most cases 'park & ride' is available at various stations along the route.
Take the Luas Red Line to Connolly Station and Croke Park is just a 15 minute walk (1.3km) from here. The stadium is a similar walking distance from both Parnell and Marlborough Luas stops on the Luas Green Line.
Iarnród Éireann provides convenient travel services for anyone travelling to Croke Park from rail connected locations around the country. In addition to scheduled services, special additional trains are provided on event days. Extra local services are operated to and from Maynooth station on event days.
