Thomond Park is the home ground of Munster Rugby, one of the most successful and best supported rugby clubs in the world. The famous venue, renowned internationally for its unique history and atmosphere, has been redeveloped and now boasts an increased capacity of 25,600 plus an extensive range of conference & banqueting facilities that have further enhanced its glowing reputation.
Since the reopening in 2008, Thomond Park has hosted a galaxy of events that has truly established the stadium as a world class multi – purpose venue.
From international rugby with Ireland v The Barbarians, the historic staging of two international football matches with the Republic of Ireland, hosting The Special Olympics Opening Ceremony, to concerts with performances by P!NK, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Bob Dylan, the stadium has delivered on its promise to attract the very best in terms of sporting and entertainment experiences.
The new stadium is renowned for its award-winning design and architecture, including an entire level in the east stand dedicated to an array of hospitality and conference facilities. Befitting a modern venue, the stadium is also fitted with state of the art technology and the entire conference & banqueting level is fitted with high-end audio visual and IT equipment.
