Malmaison Newcastle has 122 super-slinky rooms and rock'n'roll suites. All rooms have the complete set of Mal ingredients - great beds for sleepy heads, moody lighting, power showers, CD players, satellite TV, serious wines and naughty nibbles. Location
The nearest car park is just behind the hotel, parking costs £10 per day Monday to Thursday or £4 per day Friday to Sunday. These rates are based on 24 hour stays, shorter stays are available at £0.70 per hour.
Directions
A1(M) From the south At Junction 65 on the A1, take the slip road off which is signposted A184 Gateshead/Newcastle (if you see the Metrocentre on your right hand side you have travelled too far) Follow the road staying in the left hand lane (but not turning off), this will take you straight over a roundabout and lead you to the Tyne Bridge.(avoiding the Redheugh Bridge) Take the 1st exit off the Tyne Bridge then at the roundabout take the 4th exit off heading towards the Quayside, follow the road and take the right turning in front of Melbourne House, follow the road around to the left and down the bank to the river Tyne, you will see Malmaison (the second building) in front of you to your left. Parking is on the Sandgate car park, hotel residents are required to park on the 3rd floor (fees applicable).
