Madison Square Garden, colloquially known as The Garden or by its initials MSG, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in New York City. Located in Midtown Manhattan between 7th and 8th Avenues from 31st to 33rd Streets, it is situated atop Pennsylvania Station.

By Subway - 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C, or E (Eight Avenue Lines) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Also B, D, F, N, Q, R or PATH to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas (one block walk).
By Train - Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit, Amtrak to Penn Station.
From Westchester/Connecticut: Metro-North to Grand Central Station, subway shuttle to Times Square to 1, 2, 3 subway trains downtown one stop.

By Bus - From Northern Manhattan/Upper East Side, M4. From Upper West Side/Harlem, M10 south. From Downtown/West Side, M10-north. From other Manhattan locations, any North-South bus to 34th Street and transfer to M34 or M16. Disembark at Seventh Avenue. From Northwest Queens, take Q32.

Smoking - In compliance with New York City regulations, there is no smoking permitted anywhere in Madison Square Garden. This policy is strictly enforced. Violation of this regulation is grounds for ejection. Furthermore, all exits are final and MSG does not allow for smoking passes.
Alcohol Management - For most events at Madison Square Garden, alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. MSG staff is trained in the nationally recognized T.E.A.M. (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) Training program for responsible alcohol management. Alcohol sales will be limited to up to two alcoholic beverages per customer per transaction. All guests may be required to show ID to purchase alcohol. Guests are not permitted to bring in alcoholic beverages from outside and may not leave with alcohol purchased inside MSG. Management reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.
Bottles and Containers - Outside food and beverages, including water, are not permitted in Madison Square Garden at any time.
Cameras - Video cameras, monopods, tripods, audio recording devices and cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses are not permitted inside Madison Square Garden at any time. This policy will be strictly enforced. You may bring in a disposable or 35mm camera (with no zoom or telephoto lens), however, for some events, cameras of any type and/or flash photography may be prohibited.
