The Center for the Arts is a unique, non-profit cultural institution established by the University at Buffalo in 1994.
The Center for the Arts presents a wide range of high quality performing arts and visual arts for the University, the State and the region, and enhances and augment the academic activities of the fine and performing arts departments at the University at Buffalo.
Through its facilities and programs, the Center for the Arts plays a significant role in accomplishing the mission of the University, presenting enriched educational and cultural opportunities through University performances, state and regional events, and national and international touring productions and exhibits.
The Center for the Arts also functions as a multi-purpose facility, providing an appropriate setting for University and community events.
DIRECTIONS
From the New York Thruway (I-90) take EXIT 50 to the Youngman Expressway (I-290) towards NIAGARA FALLS. Exit the Youngman/290 at MILLERSPORT HIGHWAY NORTH (Exit 5B). Continue on Millersport to the COVENTRY ENTRANCE to the State University (exit on left). Follow Coventry onto the University campus. Coventry Entrance ends in a traffic loop immediately in front of the Center for the Arts. (Think of it as our driveway.)
PARKING
Parking is free after 3pm weekdays, and on weekends in the Slee and Baird lots in front of the Center. Overflow parking is available behind Alumni Arena.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
From Buffalo, the NFTA Metro Rail stops at UB South Campus. From there, the North Campus is just a 15-minute bus-ride on either the NFTA Metro Bus #44 or the UB Stampede (the inter-campus bus).
The NFTA website offers tips on How to Ride the Bus & Rail and fares. Free transfers to connecting Metro buses are valid with One-Way Metro Rail Tickets. An additional $0.25 may apply for crossing one zone to UB North Campus.
