Madonna gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal - Madonna discussed her new album MDNA, her movie W.E., and of course her appearnace at the forthcoming Super Bowl.

The Wall Street Journal: You have a movie coming out, a fragrance, a new album and a tour—and now the Super Bowl. Was this a master plan?

Madonna : No, everything kind of converged in a bottleneck. I was always planning on making a record when I finished my film but I ended up finishing my film much later than I had expected so, because I had already scheduled time with all the producers and writers for my record, I had to multitask and work on my record at the same time I was finishing my film. And then somehow it worked out that the record was being finished right around the time the movie was coming out. Then I got talked into doing the Super Bowl.

The Wall Street Journal:That sounds like a lot of obligations.

Madonna : I want to do everything really well. I kept saying to my manager, "I don't want to do the Super Bowl unless I can really give it my all, and really focus all my attention on it." And he said, "Don't worry! There won't be any problems. You'll be able to concentrate just on the Super Bowl." Now of course my movie is coming out during the Super Bowl so it's a little bit nerve-racking.

The Wall Street Journal How's the rehearsing going?

Madonna :It's not an easy show to do because you have such a short period of time to set the stage up. And you're performing in the round so you can't direct anything that walks off anybody's sight line. You have eight minutes to put your stage together, 12 minutes to do the show and seven minutes to take it down.

One of Madonna's guest artists at the this yeras Super Bowl halftime show Feb 5 in Indianapolis, is reportably Cee Lo Green. Rumours are abound Cee Lo Greeny, has for the past two weeks been traveling to New York to practice with Madonna. He is expected to bring a new sound to some of Madonna's classic hits. Madonna is reported to be using pom-poms in a cheerleader-themed performance when she hits the stage - Set to be watched by 162million people, Madonna added: ‘I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on Earth and seven minutes to take it down so the football field is clean for the second half.

‘That’s the challenge. How do you do that? I wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling.’ The singer remained coy over rumours that she will be joined by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A, who feature on her new single, Give Me All Your Luvin. Happy to play with reporters, the 53-year-old said: ‘I am not saying “Yes” and I am not saying “No”.’ The track is an appetiser to her first album in four years, called M.D.N.A.

Madonna, 'The Artist' Win Music Awards at Golden Globes

Madonna pipped Elton John, Mary J. Blige and Chris Cornell for the Best Song award at the Golden Globes on Sunday night with a win for "Masterpiece," from "W.E.," the film Madonna wrote and directed. She shared the award with co-writers Julie Frost and Jimmy Harry.

"This is a surprise," Madonna said onstage, calling Harvey Weinstein, whose Weinstein Co. is distributing her film, "the punisher."

While Madonna fans eagerly await Madonna’s next album, her choreographers Rich and Tone Talauega are reorted to have let on what to expect from what they believe is Madonna's  best record yet, after getting a sneak peek from the singer herself.

While Madonna hasn’t released an album since 2008’s Hard Candy, Tone says that her upcoming tracks are better than ever.  This is a couple levels up from her last album, Tone is reported to have gushed on Saturday night in NYC, while Rich added that, this definitely has to be her best album.

Madonna is reported to be teaming up with Iconix to create a collection all her own called, Truth or Dare. - 'The lifestyle brand will begin with her perfume and then be followed by footwear, bags, accessories, and intimates. The collection is aimed at women between the ages of 27 and 50 who possess a timeless style and an innate sex appeal.'

Madonna said 'Over the past several years, I have been approached countless times to create my own brand. The timing is right and I have found great partners in Iconix, who can help translate my vision to reality.'

Madonna's Manager Says Her New Album Will Be "Quite the Opposite of Unplugged"

Now that Madonna's new movie W.E. is just about done, she's ready to start working on her next album, and her manager says her fans should get ready to get into the groove.  Answering a series of fan questions on Twitter Wednesday, Guy Oseary wrote that Madonna "is currently listening to new music and is very eager to make a new album."  Describing what the disc will sound like, Oseary wrote, "I've always wanted to do a Madonna Unplugged [record].  This album will be quite the opposite of Unplugged.  I have one word for you: DANCE."

Oseary says that Madonna will tour, but not this summer, because she wants to finish the new album first.  The tracks she's currently listening to, according to Oseary, are "all from unknown producers....they sound amazing."  There's also the possibility of Madonna doing a Twitter chat once she gets into the studio, he says.  As for why Madonna doesn't want to take a break between the movie and the album, Oseary says, "I would love to let her rest, but she is eager to get into the studio and get working on an album.  I'm not pushing. This is all her!"

September 2, 2009 saw Madonna close her last show in Israel – Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” Tour made history again with two final shows in Tel Aviv, Israel at Yehoshua Gardens (HaYarkon Park, September 1 and 2). The Material Girl more than lives up to her name, as her tour becomes the most successful tour ever by a solo artist. After playing 85 shows since its launch in August 2008, Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” was attended by more than 3.5 million fans in 32 countries and grossed $408 million.  Live Nation, the tour’s global producer advised the “Sticky & Sweet” is also the second highest grossing tour of all time.
 
Madonna set an attendance record for the biggest crowds in history in Zurich, Switzerland, where she drew the largest audience ever assembled for a show in that country (72,000). Her Gothenburg, Sweden show, seen by 119,000 fans, broke the record for highest grossing multiple shows in the country’s history. In Helsinki, Finland, “Sticky & Sweet” sold more than 85,000 tickets, making it the biggest single show by an artist in history for all of Scandinavia. Other tour highlights included shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina (256,000), Santiago, Chile (146,000), Sao Paulo, Brazil (203,000), Tallinn, Estonia (72,000), Warsaw, Poland (79,000), Bucharest, Romania (69,000), and Sofia, Bulgaria (54,000).
 
“With ‘Sticky & Sweet’ Madonna has proven yet again that there is virtually no limit to what Madonna can accomplish both creatively and commercially,” said Arthur Fogel, Live Nation’s Chairman of Global Music and CEO of Global Touring.
 
“Sticky & Sweet” broke Madonna’s previous record of most successful tour by a solo artist with her 2006 Confessions Tour, which grossed $194 million.
 
Madonna’s upcoming CD, “CELEBRATION” – the definitive Madonna collection – is scheduled to be released at the end of September.
